How to start a blog?

Before starting, let's know What is a blog?

For your understanding, a Blog is a site that is updated regularly and where posts are shown in chronological order. A blog can be created by an individual or group. it doesn't require any knowledge regarding programming language. A little idea about HTML is required. you can start a blog in Nepal with 0 investment since you can get a free domain (.com.np) in Nepal. The blog is one of the best platforms to share your knowledge as well as to generate income.

For creating your blog:-

1.  At first, you need to go to the site blog https://www.blogger.com.

2. Sign in with your G-mail account. 

3. Then, you will be asked to fill up the data. For example, your site URL’s name, your topics.

4. Fill up all the data. And you can start a blog.

Now, let’s discuss the requirements for starting a blog in Nepal. 

Things required before starting a blog:-

1. Niche

Before starting any blog you should have a proper niche. Niche means the topic on which you are going to create your own blog. You should be very careful while choosing a niche. Its is the key to rank tour blog in search engine. 

2. Domain

The next thing you need to have is your own domain. The domain is the URL address of your site. In Nepal, you can get a free domain name (.com.np). You just need to have citizenship.  If you want to have your own domain( .com.np).

3. Content

Contents mean the articles or posts that you publish on your site. If your work in a single niche blog then your all contents should be interrelated with each other and with your domain too. But if you are starting a multi-niche blog, you can make different categories and write articles accordingly. Your content should have 600+ words.

Tips for starting a blog

1. Start a multi-niche blog at first

At the beginning stage, you can start your multi-niche blog. I mean you don’t have to focus on a concerning topic. You can write an article on any topic. That is also called multi topics blog. At first, you might don’t have good knowledge regarding blogs and you might also don’t have much more topics for creating content. So you can create different categories or tags and publish articles accordingly. Then you will have more ideas about writing articles on different topics. If you get success upon it, then you can go through a single niche blog.

2. Search keywords

Searching keywords is an important task before starting a blog. Keywords are those words that people mostly search in the search engine. Using keywords in your articles will help your blog to rank in search engines. While choosing keywords, you need to consider the following things:-

• Keywords Search Volume

• Keywords Difficulties

• Keywords Competition

            

3. Own a domain

If you are starting a blog, you must have a domain. Blogger offers you a free domain  (example.blogspot.com). But I don’t recommend you to use that domain since it is difficult to rank the blog having this kind of domain name. If any of you are Nepali, then you can get a free domain. If your domain name is related to your blog post, then it would be very good. It helps in ranking your site. But it doesn’t work in the case when your blog is on multi topics.

4. SEO

SEO means search engine optimization. There are some settings in a blog that helps in optimizing your blog for its well ranking. Search Engine Optimization is the most essential thing to rank your site. Well, an optimized site gets more traffic compare to others. There are a lot of SEO settings you have to do. You should improve your page loading speed.

5. Create backlinks

Backlinks are the links that connect one website to another. You can create backlinks to your blog after you set up all the things. The more backlinks you create, the more your site will be ranked in search engines. While generating backlinks, your site should be related to the site of which you are creating backlinks. For example:- If your blog is related to technology then you should generate backlinks with the sites related to technology. 

Creating backlinks doesn’t cost much. On average, you can create backlinks in Rs. 20 in Nepal. It depends upon the website.

6. Use responsive templates

The templates you use on the site should be user-friendly and responsive. It should be applicable for all the devices such as mobile phones, laptops, etc. The templates should fit according to the size of the device’s screen. you can simply go to google and search for a theme and download its code. Then you have to copy-paste that code in the theme of your blog.

 

The most important thing is that " You must add a description of your blog in setting and enable meta description." You should also generate HTML code of meta description and paste it into Theme between <head>....</head>. You can also add a description in each blog post.
