Countries without Internet

This is the modern era and the internet is an essential thing in our days. Can you even imagine your life without the internet? You might assume but don’t want that. Approximately 20 years before, there was no internet but also people lived their life very well but now people fully depend upon internet. The initial thing people check after wake up in the morning is their mobile. Somehow it has made our life more manageable also. Today I will be presenting some countries where people live without the internet. 

1. Ghana- The country without internet and computer

Ghana is a country positioned in West Africa. 

                                                 

You might have seen the above picture on any social media as the dedication of the teacher. This is the photo of a teacher teaching a student. So let’s discuss what is the story behind this photo.

There was a person in Ghana. The school where he studied doesn’t have any computers. In ghana, no one knows about the computer and the internet. No one has seen it. He saw the computer and knew about the internet when he went abroad to study. After completing his study, he returned back to his country and started teaching students about computers without computers. He used to draw all the pictures of Microsoft applications and teach the students like in the above picture. Eventually, this incident get viral and went to Microsoft. By seeing this Microsoft team decided to donate free computers and internet in the schools of ghana.

There are many countries in Africa lacking internet and computer facilities. 

2. Internet in Yemen- A constant struggle

Yemen is a middle eastern country.

The average network speed of Yemen is 1.3 Mbps. Nowadays, 25+ Mbps is also slow for many. Now think of this country. 

In Yemen, people still use the 2g internet. In some places only, there is 3g internet. There is no sign of 4g internet. But now 5g has also been launched. Even the internet is slow there, people have to pay much. For average16 Mbps, people in Yemen have to pay almost $2250 to the companies and government that are providing internet service there.

The companies providing internet services in Yemen are ……….. The technology used for 3g in Yemen is EVDO ( Evolution-Data Optimised ) which was old technology and till now Yemen uses this technology. This is all due to poverty and civil wars.

This country is behind in infrastructures too. 

3.  Eritrea 

Eritrea is an eastern African country. This is a country controlled by a dictator.

This country consists of only one operator. Yes, only one mobile operator and only used by the government. 

Only 0.91% of people in Eritrea access the internet. The rest of them even don’t know about the internet. 

Only 5% of people have a phone and 1% of people use a landline phone. People in Eritrea are unknown about international news and activities. 

4. Uganda

Uganda is a landlocked country in east-central Africa. This country is not financially weak but the governments here are over corrupted. People in Uganda don’t have any rights. All the power is vested in the government. There is still child labor in Uganda. Internet is just for the name in Uganda. Its lacks technologies.

5. Pakistan

Pakistan is a South Asian country. The situation of the internet in Pakistan is really poor. In Pakistan only for 7gb+4Gb social plus data, it cost about 10,500 Pakistan currency. How expensive it is. Nowadays in m, in any country, we can get 5Gb data in jus 500. Many people in Pakistan use the internet but the cost is very much high. Due to this reason, we include Pakistan in this list.
